Aichlinn started out in short course triathlon at the age of 17 having transitioned from competitive pool swimming. He started racing middle distance triathlon in 2018 after a number of years representing Ireland in European draft legal competitions. At this time, he was also completing his undergrad degree in Sports and Exercise Science.In recent years he has become the fastest Irish person ever over the Ironman distance self-coaching himself to 6th place at Busselton Ironman in 2023. He uses his experience of competing at the highest level while also working a full-time job to help athletes balance work, training and social life to achieve the best results possible. Aichlinn believes enjoying training is the key to staying consistent and achieving goals and works with athletes to tailor the training to suit their personalities and lifestyles.
