Jonathan is the founder of Ogging and the heart behind the squad. With a professional racing background and a deep commitment to community, he brings experience, resilience, and vision to every athlete he coaches.

Steve is a seasoned performance coach with over a decade of experience guiding athletes to national and international success. His athlete-centred approach blends science, experience, and empathy.

  • Experience: 10+ years as a Professional Triathlon Coach
  • Specialisation: Short to Long Distance Triathlon, and 5km to Marathon Distance running
  • Certifications/Educations: Masters in Sport Coaching, Triathlon Australia Performance Coach Accredited, Bachelor of Health & Physical Education.
  • Achievements: Coach to Paralympians (Paris 2024), Age Group Ironman World Championships qualifiers, national titleholders, and world cup athletes. Guided countless athletes to personal bests across all distances and disciplines, including athletes reaching elite Australian teams.

Oggi blends a love of performance with expertise in nutrition, guiding athletes to sustainable results on and off the course. His supportive coaching style keeps things both purposeful and enjoyable.

Rachael Wales

Rachael is both an elite cyclist and triathlete, bringing experience across two disciplines to her coaching. Her academic background in exercise science strengthens her evidence-led approach.

  • Experience: 4+ years as Elite triathlete (U23 then 2 years as pro long course) / 4 years as elite UCI continental cyclist. 
  • Specialisation: Cycling & Middle to Long Distance Triathlon

Patrick Bleasel

Pat Bleasel is a triathlete and coach who knows endurance sport from every angle. With five years of racing experience—including a personal best of 3:57 over the Half Ironman distance and 8:51 in a Full Ironman—Pat understands what it takes to balance training, racing, and recovery at the highest level.
